HON YAN CHAN
Yan is a registered physiotherapist in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. After graduating in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Manipulative Therapy at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia in 2005. Later, she also obtained the Diploma in Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
She joined the Hong Kong Sports Institute in 2002 after graduation. Her duties were to provide rehabilitation and injury prevention program to the elite athletes, and provide overseas on-field physiotherapy service to various Hong Kong Teams. Later, she worked in a private orthopaedic physiotherapy clinic as the Clinic Manager for many years. In 2014, Yan joined the Asian Fitness Therapy Center, AFTC. She continued to provide on-field physiotherapy service to various sports teams which include the Gai Wu Rugby Team (League), Hong Kong Hockey Women’s Team U21 (the 4th Women’s Junior AHF Cup) and became the team physiotherapist of Eastern Football Team starting from Season 2014-2015.
Her clinical specialties include sports injuries and rehabilitation, joints mobilization and spinal related therapy.
